  1. ABOUT HUMBLE BUMBLES
Humble Bumbles is a line of cute and colorful characters I have created to adorn products such as children’s books, baby journals, magnets and clocks. Their purpose is to spread joy and love and truth. They each have a unique personality and special characteristic. Just like me, they had to learn lessons in life the hard way but in the long run they are better for it.
  2. HOW THEY GOT THEIR NAME
Humble Bumbles started out as Amyables. I just loved the play on words and how it included my name. But when I tried to get the name trademarked I discovered it was already taken. In the meantime, my marriage fell apart and I left my husband. It was through that difficulty in my personal life that God really got through to me. I can say that I believed in God my whole life, but it was during this low point that I turned to Him with my whole heart. And that is when I decided, through a struggle of weeks and months, that I wanted to give up trying to control my own life and my husband’s and give control to Jesus. Through my trial, God taught me humility—to rely on His strength and not my own. Then one day He very clearly gave me the name “Humble Bumbles” for the characters I had developed years before. If you want to read more about how God then redeemed my marriage, visit my other website. (But be warned, it contains information not suitable for young children.)
  3. MISSION STATEMENT
To pair the artwork created by Amy Meyer Allen with God’s Word in order to share the love, joy and truth of Jesus with others and to bring glory to God.

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” ~ Isaiah 55:10-11

  4. GOALS
To create a line of products known for their originality and excellent quality and to provide customers with a tangible reminder of the love God has for them and the joy He wants to give. To share Hope, Encouragement, Acceptance and Love – the HEALing power of Jesus with a hurting world.
  5. CODE OF ETHICS
    1. To do all things for the glory of God.
~ Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10 NIV)

    2. To conduct business with integrity.
~ Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV)

    3. To make a profit for the purpose of investing it back into the business and for furthering the Spread of God’s Word and His kingdom purposes by funding our Strategic Goals.
~ The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-28 NIV)

    4. To treat others with respect and honor.
~ Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. (Romans 12:10 NIV)

    5. To find ways to serve the Lord by helping others.
~ Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10 NIV)

    6. To communicate effectively and lovingly.
~ If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. (1 Corinthians 13:1 NIV)

    7. To show God’s love in our actions.
~ Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22 NIV)

    8. To do the right thing even if it costs us time, money or ego.
~ What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? (Matthew 16:26 NIV)

    9. To wait on God’s timing.
~ Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. (Isaiah 64:4 NIV)

    10. To never give up!
~ Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9 NIV)
